Laserit are an established Bristol based Laser profiling business offering complete metal cutting and fabrication solutions to our customers.

Established in the 1980’s we have over 30 years of experience within the laser cutting and fabrication industry and have become a key supply chain partner to many of our Clients based in the Bristol, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, Swindon, Southwest and South Wales.

At Laserit we continually endeavour to offer our customers complete value for money in respect of quality parts and customer service.
We achieve this by constantly reviewing our processes and practices whilst investing in the latest technology when and where a need is identified.

This investment strategy enables us to effectively service our customer's laser profile and fabrication requirements whether that requirement is a one off/prototype, small to medium batch quantities or corporate contracts.

Our laser profiling capability is complimented by offering the ongoing processes of vibratory deburring, brushing, Mig/Tig welding, folding, rolling and full fabrications. Further processes such as polishing or coating can be offered and managed through our industry partners.

Laser Cutting/Profiling

Laserit Ltd currently utilize two off 3015 6kw bed size CO2 lasers, combining with the latest CadCam software package enables us to react quickly and efficiently to client requirements. We cover for a full range of materials with the capability to cut up to 20mm thick in Mild and Stainless Steel and 15mm thick in Aluminium. We stock a full range of the most commonly used materials to help minimize Leadtime’s.

Bending

We complement our laser cutting service with two CNC 7 axis Pressbrakes, Amada 170 Ton 3 meter and 50 Ton 2 meter, enabling bending up to 15mm thick in mild steel x 1.2meters in length and 15mm x 900 long in stainless steel. With over 20 years of bend allowance data Laserit now enjoy an excellent reputation with our regular clients for our bending accuracy. Our skilled engineers can often re-engineer products to reduce costs and simplify processes.

Fabrication

We offer for Mig/Tig/Alu, Rolling, full fabrication and assembly as ongoing processes. In addition, via our approved suppliers we offer for powder coating, wet paint application, electrophoretic coating, zinc plating and galvanizing. We are proud suppliers to the Oil & Gas, PetroChem, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Aerospace and Food industries.

Contract Management

Laserit Ltd are members of the DSM group of companies with complimenting facilities across the UK. The combined facilities make the DSM group the largest laser orientated engineering groups in the UK enabling us to seamlessly offer additional resources.

FAQs

What is the maximum thickness you can cut?

Depending on the material to be cut we can profile up to 25mm thick. However, bear in mind no holes can be a smaller dia than the thickness of the material to be cut. Please contact us for thicker material requirements, we will probably be able to help via one of our DSM group partners.

What is the largest sheet or plate Laserit can profile?

At our Bristol facility we are able to process up to 3000 meter x 1.5 meter sheets. However, within the DSM group we have much larger capacities for both laser cutting and waterjet cutting. Please contact us for further details.

What tolerance’s do you work to?

Our laser cut tolerances are;

+/-0.2mm for material up to 8mm thk

+/-0.3mm for material up to 12mm thk

+/-0.35mm for material up to 15mm thk

What drawing formats/instructions do you quote from?

We can quote from most formats, DXF, DWG, STP, SLD (Solid Works), drawings, sketches, templates, photographs, even verbal instructions.

What are your lead times?

We quote 2 to 7 days working days for laser cut only, 7 to 15 days for laser cut & bend or other ancillary operations. These lead times are subject to change depending on the requirement and work loading.
